Werner Schmid Supports the State Garden Show in Fulda

“Fulda Connects…” — under this motto, the 7th Hessian State Garden Show in Fulda will open its gates on April 27, 2023. Through October, visitors can experience a “blooming and inspiring garden paradise” on a 42-hectare site.

Across the four exhibition areas — “SUN GARDEN,” “CULTURE GARDEN,” “PLEASURE GARDEN,” and “WATER GARDEN” — between 500,000 and 600,000 visitors are expected to enjoy magnificent show gardens, rotating flower displays, regional cuisine, and a diverse range of cultural events. The event’s motto symbolizes the desire to bring together visitors and locals, as well as Fulda and its sister cities. Werner Schmid, too, has always felt a strong connection to the Fulda region. Regional roots and social commitment are an important part of our company philosophy and are firmly anchored in our corporate vision. Supporting the State Garden Show as a sponsor is therefore a matter of course for us. As a traditional family-owned business, Werner Schmid has chosen a special, family-friendly project: the design and equipping of an outdoor play area for children. All of the toys — from diabolos and juggling clubs to croquet sets, an XXL building-block house, and a crawl tunnel — are provided by Werner Schmid.

The toys are stored in a specially procured, accessible playhouse, which was painted by children from the St. Andreas Catholic Daycare Center in Fulda-Neuenberg. As a token of gratitude for their help with the design and in the spirit of sustainability, Werner Schmid will donate the toys to the daycare center after the State Garden Show concludes. Werner Schmid deliberately chose to equip the play area rather than engage in traditional sponsorship. By providing these toys, we aim to underscore our special connection to the region and our values as a traditional family-owned business.
