Werner Schmid at the Fulda Education Fair

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Fulda Education Fair is finally taking place in person again. Following the fully digital edition in 2021, the 2022 Education Fair will once again focus on in-person interaction. On September 9 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on September 10 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., prospective apprentices can learn about training opportunities from 150 companies.

Werner Schmid will, of course, be represented again with its own booth. The company has been providing apprenticeships continuously since 1947 — that is, for 75 years now. Werner Schmid also emphasizes consistency for the time after the apprenticeship: even today, former apprentices are still celebrating their 40^th — and in rare cases, even their 50^th — anniversary with the company. The apprenticeship program covers the entire range of services offered by Werner Schmid GmbH: We train toolmakers specializing in stamping and forming technology, industrial mechanics, process mechanics for plastics and rubber technology, technical product designers, as well as industrial business clerks and IT specialists.

At the education fair, our trainers and apprentices will showcase the exciting tasks involved in an apprenticeship at Werner Schmid. “Apprentice influencer” Alex got a first-hand look at these tasks during a one-day internship, accompanied by a professional camera crew.
