Trade Show Announcement: Werner Schmid at Blechexpo 2025

From October 21 to 24, 2025, the international sheet metal processing and joining technology industry will gather in Stuttgart for Blechexpo and the 10th Schweisstec. This dual trade show is considered one of the most important industry gatherings worldwide: More than 1,200 exhibitors from around 40 countries will present cutting-edge technologies, complete process chains, and forward-looking solutions for sustainable, automated manufacturing.

For Werner Schmid GmbH, Blechexpo has been a fixture on the event calendar for decades. We will be there again this year to showcase our wide range of services in stamping and forming technology, as well as in design and toolmaking. From design and tooling through prototyping on our own presses to serial production and post-processing of highly complex formed parts, our customers receive the entire component lifecycle from a single source — extending, of course, beyond the end of mass production to meet spare parts needs. Thanks to state-of-the-art plastic manufacturing at the same location, high-quality metal-plastic hybrid assemblies are also part of our portfolio.

Providing expert advice throughout all phases of the product lifecycle — starting with the development phase — is a given for us. Once again, Werner Schmid is contributing one of the highlights of the supporting program: On October 23, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., our R&D project manager, Dr. Janosch Günzel, will deliver a technical presentation titled “Robustification of Multistage Forming Processes Through Active Cooling” in the Exhibitor Forum.

Here, trade visitors can gain exciting insights into the latest results from our research project with the Institute for Production Engineering and Metal Forming Machinery (PtU) at the Technical University of Darmstadt and our project partner, FKM Sintertechnik.
