Health App for All WS Employees

Werner Schmid is further expanding the company’s internal health management program: in collaboration with Techniker Krankenkasse, the company now offers all employees free access to the “Work-Life Portal” (WLP) provided by Humanoo. Through this app, WS employees have access to over 3,000 health promotion programs across three topic areas: from mindfulness to exercise to nutrition.

A wide range of content is available for each of the three areas: blog posts, recipes, and videos featuring exercises and complete workouts. All users can customize the Work-Life Portal to suit their individual needs and fitness levels. Want to work on your flexibility? Or would you rather improve your endurance? Or build strength with weight training? Beginner, intermediate, or expert? With personalized selection options, everyone is guaranteed to find content that’s right for them.

In addition, the app offers the opportunity to connect with coworkers—employees can participate together in the company’s health challenges or challenge their colleagues to individual fitness challenges.

With the app, WS employees can not only do something good for their own health, but also for the environment. For every activity completed using the WLP app, users earn virtual diamonds. These can be collected and later redeemed for environmental protection initiatives: Employees can use them to either plant trees or have plastic waste collected. Users then receive a personalized certificate for the trees planted or the plastic waste collected.
