Werner Schmid at the Fulda Education Fair

On October 6 and 7, 2023, the Fulda Education Fair will take place for the 15th time — and Werner Schmid will, of course, be there again. Werner Schmid has had its own booth at the fair every year since the very first one, but our commitment to training young people goes back many more years. As early as 1947, Werner Schmid began its first apprenticeship program, just one year after the company was founded. We have been providing continuous training every year for over 75 years. In the last 20 years alone, more than 80 apprentices have successfully completed their training at Werner Schmid. Many of these apprentices stay with the company for a long time: even today, we still celebrate the 40th or 50th work anniversaries of former apprentices every year, some of whom have gone on to hold positions of responsibility within the company.

At the education fair, our trainers and apprentices will showcase the exciting and interesting aspects of our diverse apprenticeship programs. “Apprentice influencer” Alex already got a taste of what to expect from an apprenticeship at WS during a one-day internship and was accompanied by a professional camera crew throughout.
