E-Mobility Concepts with High-Quality Components from Fulda

30.04.2020

Whether it’s an e-bike, a hybrid, or an electric car: The trend toward e-mobility is driving a profound structural transformation, including for suppliers throughout the entire supply chain. For several years now, Werner Schmid has been involved in projects in the field of e-mobility. This is not only a small contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and meeting climate targets but also ensures the company’s long-term viability by participating in a market of the future.

Werner Schmid is already pursuing e-mobility projects across all three of the company’s business segments. For several years now, our metal fabrication division has been producing components for hybrid and electric motors for various customers in the automotive industry. Even in their promising e-mobility projects, our customers rely on the strengths that have always distinguished our metal fabrication division: decades of experience in forming technology, innovative tooling concepts, high dimensional accuracy, and a high degree of flexibility. Our plastics manufacturing division’s customers also benefit from this; in addition to supporting projects in the automotive industry, our services include the production of injection-molded parts for e-bike drives. Thanks to the high degree of automation in our plastics manufacturing division, we can also produce large quantities in the e-bike segment cost-effectively while meeting the highest standards for geometry and quality. Here, we not only manufacture tools and injection molds for our own production, but also commercial tools for our customers’ manufacturing processes. For several years now, these commercial tools have been a successful addition to our manufacturing portfolio. While our first commercial tools were used to manufacture components for conventional internal combustion engines, we have recently secured various orders to produce tools for manufacturing components for hybrid engines.

Are you interested in forming tools or injection molds for the production of precision components for conventional or electrified engines? Do you need precision metal or plastic components for your project in the mobility industry, plant engineering, electrical engineering, or another industry? Just get in touch with us – for example, directly at any time or at the Fakuma trade show in October. We look forward to hearing from you.
