Lifetime Achievement Award: Monika Hauß-Schmid Thanks Her Longtime Companions

Last week, it was announced that our former managing director and shareholder, Monika Hauß-Schmid, was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the German Stevie Awards. In its statement, the jury recognized both the long-term positive development of Werner Schmid GmbH and her years of commitment to the region, particularly to the development of Perspektiva: “Entrepreneurs who not only know how to lead a company but also use their spirit to advance our society are a great inspiration through their work, and Monika Hauß-Schmid, as a dedicated entrepreneur, is certainly a special example of this.”

Ms. Hauß-Schmid was delighted to receive this award and would like to thank all her colleagues and employees, without whom this honor would not have been possible: “On behalf of all my colleagues, I would like to thank our former technical director and managing director, Mr. Ulrich Lehmann; our former authorized signatory and commercial director, Alfred Jordan; and our current authorized signatory and commercial director, Günter Schlitzer. ”

She would also like to thank the employees at Perspektiva for their pleasant collaboration over nearly 20 years. “I have always enjoyed working at Perspektiva, as the remarkable dedication of all Perspektiva employees has rubbed off on me as well.” Speaking on behalf of the employees, the advisory board, and the shareholders of Perspektiva, she extends special thanks to the former and current managing directors, Michael Becker and Michael Bien, as well as to the chairman of the advisory board, Rainer Sippel.

Her many years of volunteer work for the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), particularly as vice president from 2009 to 2019, are also part of Ms. Hauß-Schmid’s life’s work.
