Werner Schmid GmbH has relied on the expertise of its in-house
toolmaking department since shortly after the company was founded.
Since the mid-1950s, our internal tool shop has been responsible not only for manufacturing but also for the maintenance, servicing, and
repair of tools used in our metal production.
In the 1970s, with the establishment of our own plastics production, we also added moldmaking to our range of expertise.
As a result, our tool and mold shop has decades of experience in the maintenance and servicing of stamping and forming tools as well as
injection molds.

What sets our tool and moldmaking apart are its fast response times and high flexibility.
If a machine goes down due to tool damage especially during a critical production run every minute counts.
In such situations, swift and skilled repair of the tool is essential.
Equally important is the regular and thorough maintenance of tools and molds to ensure long service life and reliable performance.

We also offer our expertise in tool maintenance and repair as a service for customers with their own production operations.

Our extensive machinery and highly skilled team, with decades of
experience in toolmaking and repair, are key pillars of our tool shop.
Tool refurbishments following inspection by our specialists are also a central part of our service portfolio.
Even repairs of older stamping and forming tools or plastic injection molds for which no 3D data is available can be carried out by us.
Using our 3D measuring systems, we can precisely scan individual
components and generate accurate data for reproduction.
